Originally built in 1776 it was fully refurbished in 2007 to provide a level of comfort and luxury, character and charm rarely found in this style of building. Chalet Ardent is a luxury catered ski chalet in the Morzine Avoriaz district of the Portes du Soleil in the Northern French Alps. The chalet is ideally suited to exclusive sole occupancy by up to 10 people in four double or twin rooms with ensuite showers and wash basin. We specialise in accommodation for goups of friendsor family ski holidays. We sometimes offer last minute deals and special offers and occasionally free lift passes on weeksthat remain unsold We offer a very high standard of cuisine 4 course meals and quality mainly chateau bottled wines. Our menu is interesting and varied and offers dishes of italian and international flavours. We have a top of the range hot tub with hydro massage and aroma therapy on the terrace where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the valley and mountains. We can provide return Geneva airport transfers in our private minibus, the transfer time is less than 90 minutes. We can organise ski lessons with ESF ( ecole du ski francais ) or the Avoriaz Alpine ski school. We can organise childcare with Jack Frosts or Cheeky Monkeys or the Nursery Creche for tourists in Morzine. The chalet is situated at 1360 metres, closer to the high altitude resort of Avoriaz (1800 metres) than Morzine (960 metres)and is snow sure and has a very good snow record. We are close to the lifts, the modern 10 man telecabine at Ardent canmove 40 people per minute to the area known as Les Lindarets which is at the centre of the whole of the Portes du Soleil System. The Portes du Soleil ski system links the resorts of Morzine Avoriaz Les Gets Chatel Chapelle Abondance St Jean d’Aulps in Francewith Morgins Torgon Champoussin Champery Crozets in Switzerland.The Portes du Soleil although not as well known as The Three Valleys, Val d’Isere Tignes Les Arcs, Courcheval Meribel or Chamonix offers great skiing for all abilities beginners intermediates and experts and the best value lift pass in europe at 200 euros for access to 650 kms of pistes.
