Information: Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings & Deposits. After your initial enquiry we will email you with our availability and proposal for your holiday. If you are happy with our proposal we will request a deposit of 25%. Receipt of the deposit will confirm your booking. Our booking contract will be between SARL Chalet Ardent and you, the named person acting as party leader. The signatory of your booking form must be over 18 years of age.

2. Final Payments. The balance of 75% of the cost of your holiday including any additional services will be due 10 weeks prior to your arrival date. Non payment of the balance by the due date will be deemed as cancellation of the booking by you. No refund will be given Bookings made within 10 weeks of arrival full payment required.

3. Amendments by you. Amendments must be confirmed in writing and will come into effect the day they are received by us. We regret that we are unable to guarantee a change of dates once your booking is confirmed. Any change will be deemed as cancellation of your original booking. Refunds as in clause 6 below will apply.

4. Cancellation by you. Cancellations must be made in writing and will take effect from the date received by us. In the event of you canceling your booking after the deposit has been paid you will be entitled to the following refunds.

Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these charges under the terms of your insurance policy.

5. Cancellation by us. In all case we reserve the right to cancel your holiday for the dates you have reserved. This is extremely unlikely, but should this event occur you will be fully refunded. Our liability is limited to the accommodation costs and the services we offer and does not include compensation for lost flights or ferry bookings.

6. Force Majeure. In the event of us having to cancel your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control, Chalet Ardent cannot be held responsible for expenses, costs or losses incurred by you due to such cancellation. Circumstances shall include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, industrial disruption, natural occurance, fire, technical problems, adverse weather or governmental action. In the event of us being forced to cancel we will refund all of the monies paid to us at the time of cancellation.

7. Insurance. We insist that all guests staying at the chalet have adequate holiday insurance to cover cancellations, delays and personal injury. We regret we are not able to pay for medical treatment for any clients staying at the chalet. Skiers insurance can be purchased on a daily basis with your lift pass that gives you full insurance cover in the event of personal injury or accident.

8. Arrivals & Departures. The chalet is normally available from 1600 hrs on your arrival day, this is to allow us time to clean and prepare the chalet for your stay. You will be requested to vacate your room by 0900 hrs on your departure day. Depending on our bookings either side of your holiday dates these times may be flexible, please contact us prior to your arrival to confirm.

9. Flights & Transfers. It is your responsibility to make your groups travel arrangements. Wherever possible please book flights to arrive and depart from Geneva between 1200 hrs and 1800 hrs. If you require airport transfers these must be booked in advance as soon as you have your flight details confirmed. We cannot accept responsibility for guests missing flights and no credit or refund will be given if you fail to take up a component of your holiday as a result. Please notify us as soon as you are aware of a cancelled, late or missed flight on the number given on your booking confirmation.

10. Lift Passes & Ski Lessons. We are happy to arrange your Lift Passes and Ski Lessons prior to your arrival. These services must be paid for in advance and will be included in your final payment due 10 weeks before arrival. We recommend that Ski Lessons are pre booked in the peak weeks to avoid dissapointment.

11. Ski Guiding. We offer a ski guiding service to our clients during their stay to help them explore the massive Portes du Soleil ski area. It is a condition of this service that all members of the party that request guiding are competent on red pistes. Ski Guiding is not an alternative to ski lessons. If you or any member of your group ski in a location on the recommendation of or accompanied by any representative of Chalet Ardent, we will not be held liable for any injuries howsoever caused.

12. Complaints. We will endeavour to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible, however if you have any complaints about the chalet or our services please bring them to our attention so we can rectify the problem as soon as practicable. Major disputes or complaints must be made in writing within 14 days of your departure directly to us or our agents acting on our behalf.

13. Your Responsibilities. As part of this contract you agree to guarantee payment for any chargeable services requested by any member of your group before and during your holiday. Please treat the property with care and respect. We will be entitled to recover the cost of any damage caused by any member of your group before departure from the chalet. Behaviour deemed unacceptable by us or serious complaints from other guests staying at the chalet will result in the termination of your holiday and you shall have no right to a refund for your holiday or any expenses incurred as a result of the termination.
It is your responsibility to provide written details of any allergies suffered by any member of your group. We will not be liable for any allergic reaction should this information not be provided.

14. Smoking. Please note that Chalet Ardent operates a No Smoking policy for the comfort and enjoyment of all of our guests. Covered areas outside are provided for smokers.
